Very nice camp ground and boat ramp. There is ample parking for vehicles with trailers. The campgrounds are well maintained. We're usually here to fish either from the shore or boat.
The plus? It is a nice place to hang out with friends. The services running this place just need to consider a few things.
I loved my stay at Hyrum State park! It's beautiful, family friendly and the hot showers are an great addition for long stays. I brought my two dogs and they loved it! It seemed to have the right amount of shade during the day for tent camping! Even without a boat/jet skis it was a great place to paddle board! I was able to paddle board across the reservoir to find a quiet cove that I went to several time because it was so peaceful!!
Best! As always. Love Hyrum Dam. Great beach area, clean restrooms, great location to hang a hammie!
You also can't get there via Google Maps. Someone needs to figure that out and put a new location address on this business profile. I drove around for a while thinking that I was close - it navigates you to a location about a half mile away.
Site was supposed to have water and electricity but did not. We made it work but would have been better if we had known ahead of time
Went in for the last 30 minutes of the day. To drive my car down to the dam cost me $10. For 30 minutes. Their policy really sucks.
